The Pachyseris Coral is a small polyp stony (SPS) coral. The Pachyseris Coral will need a high light level and placement at mid-level or higher in the aquarium with a strong water flow. Because this coral does not use polyps or tentacles for feeding, the proper lighting level needs to be supplied for its proper nutrition. For continued good health, it will require the addition of calcium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.
It is theorized that this coral may obtain some nutrition through mucosal capture of particulate matter. Therefore, this coral may benefit from the addition of phytoplankton a few times per week.
